Prevention is the most important part of managing tooth abrasion.
Choose a low abrasion toothpaste as some toothpastes play a significant role in causing tooth abrasion. The RDA value [Relative Dentin Abrasivity] ranges from 0-250. RDA values of 150-250 are considered the harmful.
Use a soft toothbrush and a correct brushing technique using moderate force.
You can consume herbal tea with added collagen, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and fiber with porcelain veneers, but be mindful of any staining potential and maintain good oral hygiene.
Use fluoride toothpaste, reduce acidic foods/drinks, chew sugar-free gum with xylitol, consume dairy or calcium-rich foods, and avoid excessive brushing.
Dental tape with a silicone coating, textured surface, waxed finish, and fluoride coating can be used with porcelain veneers, but remove your aligners for effective cleaning between your teeth.
Clean gums with a soft cloth, brush baby teeth with a soft brush, avoid sugary drinks, and have a dental check-up by age one.
The cost of porcelain veneers varies depending on factors like location and the number of veneers needed. Dental insurance typically does not cover cosmetic procedures like veneers.
